CASE STUDY

🌿 Case Study: TVP Wellness & Gratitude Festival

Mind, Body, Spirit – A Community-Centric Wellness Celebration

🎯 Client Objective
Thames Valley Park, managed by Knight Frank, commissioned this multi-zoned wellness event to support tenant wellbeing, foster community connection, and encourage mindful living in a workplace environment. The goal was to deliver a restorative and enriching experience that complemented the park's natural landscape and reflected its values of innovation, sustainability, and people-first placemaking.

💡 Our Creative Approach
We designed a multi-sensory, experiential wellness event under the theme Mind, Body, and Spirit. The programme was curated to offer choice, calm, and connection - from active movement and mindful art to silent reflection and joyful social moments. We split the festival into three distinct zones and ensured that participants could drop in, try something new, or simply unwind.

Experience Highlights:
🧘‍♀️ Yoga, Qi Gong, Sound Bath & Guided Meditation sessions under tipi tents in the nature reserve.
🧊 Wim Hof Breathwork & Ice Bath Challenge, offering a bold yet controlled resilience experience.
🐶 Puppy Therapy Garden – always a crowd favourite, hosted in its own climate-controlled tent.
🚣‍♀️ Canoeing sessions and Fun Runs to activate the natural environment and promote physical engagement.
🎨 Mindful Creative Zones featuring botanical printing, abstract painting, and a gratitude tree where attendees shared personal notes of thanks.
🧘‍♂️ Reiki, Crystal Healing, and Tarot – one-on-one appointments that added spiritual depth and personal reflection.
🍛 Wellness Catering including curated bowl food, chai, lassi, and sparkling botanical drinks served from eco-conscious vendors.

🚧 Event Challenges
The core challenge was designing a wellness festival that met diverse preferences while respecting workday rhythms. We had to balance deep, restorative activities with light, drop-in experiences, and create enough quiet space to avoid sensory overload. Weatherproofing, pet welfare logistics, and managing participant flow across timed and untimed sessions added further complexity.

🛠️ Our Solution
Anopia handled end-to-end delivery, from conceptual development through to on-site production and post-event content. We:

- Designed an intuitive zonal layout that encouraged self-guided exploration.
- Provided low-barrier access to wellness practices, many of which were new to attendees.
- Blended physical, emotional, and social wellness activities with professional facilitators and gentle branding.
- Created an event rhythm that felt inclusive and nurturing, while maintaining professional polish and safety throughout.

📊 Results & Impact
- Outstanding tenant engagement across both wellness editions, with numerous attendees trying new experiences and connecting with colleagues they hadn't previously interacted with.
- The Puppy Therapy Garden and Ice Bath Challenge emerged as breakout favourites — sparking conversation and team bonding.
- Teams began anticipating the event in advance, coordinating schedules and spreading the word organically across the park.
- Feedback praised the balance of personal reflection and collective energy, with many saying they felt genuinely recharged.
- “I never thought I’d do breathwork or jump in an ice bath at work, and now I want to do it every year.”

- “It’s the first time I spoke to someone from another company here, over a puppy cuddle!”

🎥 Lasting Memories
A stunning short video captured the festival’s essence, soft light filtering through tipi tents, colourful gratitude leaves fluttering, laughter from the puppy garden, and quiet concentration in creative workshops. It now serves as both a recap and a recruitment tool, showcasing the culture of care that defines Thames Valley Park.

📈 Ongoing Value
This event series demonstrates how wellness, when thoughtfully executed, becomes a strategic tool for workplace satisfaction and retention. For TVP, it solidifies their identity as a progressive business campus that champions people as much as performance.
